Ruth Symonds was born about 1640 at Ipswich, Essex Co., Massachusetts.1 She married John Emerson, son of Thomas Emerson and Elizabeth Brewster, in 1659 at Ipswich.1 She died 23 February 1702 at Gloucester, Essex Co., Massachusetts.2
