Miles Jerry Theodore Billings was born 25 January 1872 at Mendota, La Salle Co., Illinois.2,3,4,5,6,7 He married Ada Myrtle Price, daughter of Euclid Roland Price and Mary Ella Payne, 15 December 1898 at Kansas.8,9 He died 31 October 1934 at Garden City, Finney Co., Kansas.7 He was buried at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, Finney Co., Kansas.7

An excerpt from his obituary:

"In the winter of 1879, Miles came with his parents to Kansas, locating on a farm east of Abilene. After several years, they moved to a farm north of that city, later locating in Randell, Jewell Co, where the parents died. His brothers and sisters have since passed away. He was married in 1899 at the age of 27 to Miss Ada M. Price of Hollis, Cloud County. To this union was born seven children, five boys and two girls, one of the girls dying in infancy.

"He and his family lived for several years on his farm south of the city, during which time he became a member of the Baptist Church. Besides his widow, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Barrie Snyder of Canon City, Colo., five sons, Wilford, Floyd, Ralph, La Verne, and Alva of the home and nine grandchildren.

"Mr. Billings had been in declining health for several years and had expressed himself as ready to go."10
