b. 18 March 1796, d. 6 January 1881
Sarah Tefft was born 18 March 1796 at Greenwich, Washington Co., New York.1,2,3,4,5,6 She married Consider White, son of John White and Prudence Carrier, 18 July 1819 at Greenwich.7,8 She died 6 January 1881 at Judsonia, White Co., Arkansas.9,10,11
In 1871, Sarah, her four surviving children, and their spouses joined together to sell the house and lot Consider had left them in his will. Consider originally purchased the property from William Mowrey in 1827.
It was about this time that baptists in the area were being "called" to join a mission and start a college in Judsonia, Arkansas. It would seem that regardless of her age (75) Sally responded with what little she had left from Consider's bequests and her small pension from his revolutionary war service.12
