William Ward was born say 1600.1,2,3 He married Elizabeth (---) about 1638.4,2 He died 10 August 1687 at Marlborough, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.2
William came to Sudbury in 1639 with his first five children and probably shortly thereafter married his second wife, Elizabeth.
In Sudbury he was a freeman in 1643, a representative in 1644. In 1660 he removed to Marlborough where he was a representative in 1666 and deacon at the first organization of the church. He made his will 6 April 1686.2
