Caleb Hill, son of Jonathan Hill and Elizabeth Hail, was born at Swansea, Bristol Co., Massachusetts, 25 June 1728.1 He died at Adams, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts, June 1797.2

Caleb married (1) Bethany Luther at Swansea, 23 November 1749;3 he married (2), as her 2nd husband, Mary Jolls at Swansea, 29 July 1766. The ancestry of both wives is unknown (or not traced here.)4,5

In 1790, his household was probably the one enumerated at Adams, with 2 free white males over 16, 2 under 16, and 3 free white females.6
