Andrew Smith, son of James Andrew Smith and Margaret Truax, was born at Adair Co., Kentucky, 7 March 1790.1,2 He died at Gibson Co., Indiana, 5 December 1862, and was buried at Andrew Smith Cemetery, Owensville, Gibson Co., Indiana.2

Andrew married Asenath "Ezena, Asenith" Stone, daughter of Admire Hurt Stone and Susanna Gilpin, at Adair Co. 19 November 1816.3
