Edmund Wood, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), was born probably at or near Halifax, Yorkshire, England, about 1550.1,2 He died at England, after 27 May 1614.2,1

It appears Barnes was unaware of Wood's 1989 article showing there were two Edmund Woods in the Halifax area in the late 16th century. It cannot yet be proven this Edmund is the one baptized at Halifax, 6 Mar 1546, nor which (if any) of the two marriages recorded there (Alyce Edwards, 15 Sep 1572; Jenet Hurst, 4 May 1573) apply to him or the other man.3,2
