Gertrude E. Meeker, daughter of John M. Meeker and Mary C. Budd, was born 30 November 1818.1 She died 21 August 1855,1 and was buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Newark, Essex Co., New Jersey.1

Gertrude married Jabez Cook, son of Ellis Cook and Rhoda Sayre.2,3

Hoskins assigns Gertrude to an earlier Jabez Cook, who had revolutionary service, and was also a son of an Ellis Cook of Hanover. Littell doesn't give many dates, only relationships, so Hoskins' error is understandable.4,3
