Alan II "the Black," Count of Brittany and Earl of Richmond, son of Stephen I, Count of Brittany and Hawise (---), married Bertha of Cornouaille, Duchess of Brittany, daughter of Conan III "le Gros," Duke of Brittany and Maud of England, about 1137. He also had a son by an unknown mistress.1
