Richard Gardner left a will dated 20 January 1727/28, and probated 17 Jul 1728 naming no wife but
daughters Miriam Coffin, Lydia Coffin,
Granddaughter Ruth Gardner,
Sons Joseph (eldest), Solomon, Benjamin, William, & Peter
The sons to serve as joint executors.8
