Henry II, King of England, son of Sir Geoffrey Plantagenet, Knt. and Maud of England, was born at Le Mans, Maine, France, 5 March 1132/33.1 He died 6 July 1189.1 Both he and his wife were buried at the church of the Abbey of Frontrevrault, Maine-et-Loire, France.1

Henry married Eleanor of Aquitaine, daughter of William X, Duke of Aquitaine and Eleanor de Chastellerault, at Bordeaux, France, 18 May 1152.1,2
