Robert Charles Howard, son of John Howard and [Elizabeth] Tubb, was born at Charleston, Charleston Co., South Carolina, 1787.1,2 He died at Mineral Point, Iowa Co., Wisconsin, 9 May 1867.

Robert married (1) Sarah Yarborough, daughter of William Yarborough Sr. and Rachel Shelby, about 1815; it appears they later divorced, before 1844, when she remmarried; he married (2) Diantha (---), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), before 1850.3
