Renaud de Châtillon, Chev., son of Hervé II, Lord of Donzy, died after 4 July 1187, when he was captured by Saladin's forces at the Battle of Hattin. Shortly thereafter, he was beheaded by Saladin, reportedly after he, Renaud, refused to convert to Islam.1,2

Renaud married (1), as her 2nd husband, Constance of Antioch, daughter of Bohemond II, Prince of Antioch and Alix of Jerusalem, before May 1153;3,1 he married (2), as her 3rd husband, Stephanie de Milly, whose ancestry (and first two husbands) are not traced here, before November 1177.1
