Thomas de Furnival, son of Sir Gerard de Furnival, Knt. and Maud de Luvetot, was born after 1200.1 He was killed by the Saracens at Damietta, Egypt, about 1240.1 His body was brought back to England by his brother Gerard and buried in the church at Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England.1

Thomas married Bertha de Ferrers, daughter of Sir William de Ferrers, Knt., 4th Earl of Derby and Agnes of Chester.1
