Thomas married Maud Hide, daughter of Sir John Hide, Knt. and Elizabeth Sudley, about 1248.1

By his marriage to Maud Hide, Thomas Jocelyn gained possession of the manor of Hide, or "Hide Hall." The Josselyn family owned the manor for almost 650 years.2
