Sir Walter Marshal, Knt., 8th Earl of Pembroke, son of Sir William Marshal, Knt., 3rd Earl of Pembroke and Isabel de Clare, was born after 1198.1 He died at Goodrich Castle, Hereford, England, 24 November 1245,2 and was buried at Tintern Abbey, Monmouthshire, Wales.3

Walter married, as her 2nd husband, Margaret de Quincy, daughter of Robert de Quincy and Hawise of Chester, Countess of Lincoln, 6 January 1241/42.1
