William Yarborough Sr., whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), was born about 1766.1 He died at Toone, Hardeman Co., Tennessee, 26 March 1859,1 and was buried near Toone.1,2

William married Rachel Shelby, daughter of Moses Shelby and Isabella (…), at Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina, about 1792.

Noted as a "(Rev Sol)", however further research has shown this to be in error. Another William Yarborough is credited with this service.1
