Thomas Chandler, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), was born about 1475.1 He died in January 1550/51.1
Thomas married someone about 1500, her name and ancestry being unknown, but who died in 1514.1
In the court rolls of the manor of Stortford (1399 to 1423) and the accounts of the churchwardens of St. Michael's in Bishop's-Stortford (from 1431 and onward) there is no mention of any Chandler before Thomas is mentioned in 1514 in regards to the burying of his wife. The churchwarden's accounts show:

No will or administration of his estate has been found, and he was living as late as 19 Mar, 2 Edward VI (1547/8), but died in or before Hilary Term, 3 and 4 Edward VI (11 to 31 Jan 1550/1) when, in a fine of that term, his son Thomas (whose wife Agnes also appears in the fine) is called "Thomas Chaundeler, Senior."1
