Isaac Nichols, son of Sergeant Francis Nichols and Frances Wimarke, was born probably shortly before his baptism at Sedgeborrow, Worcestershire, England, 27 December 1617.1 He died at Stratford, Connecticut, between 28 September 1694 and 5 November 1695.2,3

Isaac married Margaret (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), about 1647.2,4

He was in one of the first companies of Stratford settlers, coming from England with his father and became a prominent citizen of the town.

He was a deputy to the General Court for three sessions in 1662 and 1665.

He was farmer but seems to have dealt some what in merchandise. His will mentions his Indian servant George, giving him to his [Isaac's] wife during her natural life.5
