Robert White was mentioned in the wills of his father (1578) and his brother William (1586). Robert was first mentioned in South Petherton, 4 July 1573 when he was a witness and one of the overseers of the will of John Thorne. Robert was Churchwarden there in 1578, which he apparently held until his death. He was buried as "Robert White, senior," in 1600.1
