Reverend John Lothrop, son of Thomas Lowthrop and Maud (…), was born probably shortly before his baptism at Etton, Yorkshire, England, 20 December 1584.1 He died at Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts, 8 November 1653,1 and is probably buried at Lothrop Hill Cemetery, Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts, where a memorial was placed.2

John married (1) Hannah House, daughter of Reverend John House and Alice (…), at Eastwell, Yorkshire, England, 10 October 1610;1,3,4 he married (2) Ann (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), before 1635.1,5
