Lucy Ann (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), was born at Pennsylvania, about 1810.1,2 She died after 1874.

Lucy married, as his 3rd wife, George Billings, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), at Sheshequin, Bradford Co., Pennsylvania, about 1846.3

She is mentioned in George Billings' will, the grave marker of son Luman, and in land records of Adair Co., Iowa where she sold land in 1874. She is said to be a Horton and widow of Joseph Blackman, but that couple did not marry until 1850 when George & Lucy Ann had already been married about 4 years and had at least two children together. The Horton ancestry does not mention George, but there is a Lucy in the family of Joshua Horton, which also includes a sibling, Luman P. However, that Lucy is said to be born about 1805 and seems to be accounted for with a marriage to Lemuel Landrus, and that man died in 1856.

Lucy appears to be the Lucy Billings in the Eli Crawford household in the 1870 census, though her birthplace is stated as Ohio.
