Jeremiah Cook, son of Elias Cook and Abigail (…), was born about March 1781.1,2 He died 2 July 1860, and was buried at North End Cemetery, East Hampton, Suffolk Co., New York, where his stone is inscribed:
Ae 97-4-, errected by his son Geo L P Cook.2


Jeremiah was buried as Jared. "Jared's" parents are identified in a family record, but a note states there is a record at Riverhead that shows him as Jeremiah, not Jared.3
