Dorcas Gildersleeve, daughter of Thomas W. Gildersleeve and Rebecca Rogers, was born at Smithtown, Suffolk Co., New York, 2 September 1765.1 She died at Smithtown, 31 August 1848.1

Dorcas married Lucius Smith, son of Obadiah Smith and Elizabeth Chichester, at Smithtown 11 August 1783.1
