Obadiah Cook
Charts | Descendants of Ellis Cook-6 Generations |
Obadiah Cook, son of John Cook and Mehetabel Howell, died at Hanover, Morris Co., New jersey, before 13 March 1765, when administration of his estate was granted to his brother-in-law, Joel Halsey.
To be brother-in-law, Joel Halsey is most likely a brother to Obadiah's unknown wife who may have been given some property by Recompense Halsey, probably father to her and Joel. Joel could also possibly be husband to a sister of Obadiah.
However, none of Joel's known sisters are shown to have married any Cook, and his own wife is an unidentified Anne (---). If she is Obadiah's sister, she is not shown in any record yet found.1,2,3
