Matthias Lindsley Burnet, son of Matthias Burnet and Phebe Brookfield, was born at Morristown, Morris Co., New Jersey, 26 April 1789.1,2 He died 12 February 1881,2 and was buried at Hillside Cemetery, Madison, Morris Co., New Jersey.2

Matthias married Nancy Ann Cook, daughter of Benjamin Cook and Sarah Foster.3
