Nathan Cook, son of Theophilus Cook and Phebe Hedges, was born about 1789.1 He died before 10 December 1811, when administration of his estate was granted.1,2 He was buried at Oakland Cemetery, Sag Harbor, Suffolk Co., New York, where his stone is inscribed:
An affectionate Husband
consort of Mary Cook
and son of T & P. Cook
who departed this life...
in the 22nd year of his life.3


Nathan married Mary l'Hommedieu, daughter of Samuel l'Hommedieu, say 1810.4

Administration of the estate of Nathan Cook, merchant of Sag Harbor, was granted, 10 December 1811, to his widow, Polly, brother-in-law Samuel L'Hommedieu, Jr., and brother Silas Cook.
Bond: Theophilus Cook of Southampton.2
