Sir John de Grey, K.G., 1st Lord Grey of Rotherfield, son of Sir John de Grey, Knt. and Margaret de Oddingseles, was born at Rotherfield, Oxfordshire, England, 9 October 1300.1 He died at Rotherfield, Oxfordshire, England, 1 September 1359.1

In what must have been a child marriage, John married (1) Katherine Fitz Alan, daughter of Sir Brian Fitz Alan, Knt., Lord Fitz Alan and Maud (…), before 1 March 1311/12;1 he married (2) Avice Marmion, daughter of Sir John Marmion, Knt., 2nd Lord Marmion and Maud de Furnival, before 1340/41.1
