Sir Warin de Lisle, Knt., son of Sir Gerard de Lisle, Knt. and Alice de Armenters, died at Pontefract, Yorkshire, England, after 16 March 1321, when he fought against the king at the Battle of Boroughbridge. He was captured, condemned as a traitor, and executed at Pontefract, being dragged through the streets and hanged.1 He was buried at Black Friars, Pontefract, Yorkshire, England.1

Warin married Alice le Tyeys, daughter of Sir Henry le Tyeys, Knt., Lord Tyeys and Hawise de Montagu.1
