John Waterton, M.P., son of William Waterton and Elizabeth de Newmarch, was born about 1350.1 He died before 1 November 1417, when he was replaced as the guardian of Windsor Castle.2

John had an unknown first wife (commonly said to be a daughter of Thomas Methley);3 he married (2), as her 2nd husband, the widow of fellow MP, Thomas Wintershall, Joan (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), at Burpham, Surrey, England, 24 April 1400.3
