Robert de Portington, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), was born say 1215.1 He died say 1275.1

Robert married Agnes de Battayle, perhaps daughter of Adam de Battayle. Her name may also have been Matilda.1,2

Hunt notes that most of early Portyngton pedigrees were "scanty or even wrong." He credits Glover's (1584) as mostly correct as those named there actually did live in the years shown.1
