Sir Robert Erskine, Knt., High Chamberlain of Scotland, son of Sir William Erskine, Knt., was born before 1322, as he was witness to a charter in 1343, presumably being of age by then.1 He died before 11 November 1385.2

Robert married (1), as her 2nd husband, Beatrice Lindsay, daughter of Sir Alexander Lindsay, Knt., after July 1335;2 he married (2), as her 2nd husband, Christian Menteith, daughter of Sir John Menteith Knt., Lord of Arran and Ellen of Mar, about 1352.2,3
