George Fairbanks, son of Gilbert Fairbanks and Jennet (…), was born about 1528.11 Perhaps he is the George Fairbanks buried at Sowerby, Halifax, Yorkshire, England, 29 March 1610.1

George married (1) Sibyl Wade, 10 May 1551;1 he married (2), as her 2nd husband, Johanna Mawd at Halifax, Yorkshire, England, 15 February 1573/74. The ancestry of both wives is unknown (or not traced here).1
