Joan Willoughby, daughter of Sir Robert Willoughby, K.G., 6th Lord Willoughby of Eresby and Elizabeth Montagu, was born about 1425.1 She, whose ancestry is not traced here, died 13 February 1461/62.2

Joan married Sir Richard Welles, Knt., Lord Welles & Willoughby, son of Sir Lionel Welles, Knt., 6th Lord Welles and Joan Waterton, before 9 January 1448/49.2,3
