Sir Ralph Lumley, Knt., 1st Lord Lumley, son of Sir Marmaduke de Lumley, Knt. and Margaret de Holand, was born about 1360.1 He was beheaded by the townspeople of Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England, 5 January 1399/0,1 and was first buried at Durham Cathedral, Durham, England;1 his remains and monument were later removed to Chester-le-Street in 1594.1
Ralph married Eleanor Neville, daughter of Sir John de Neville, K.G., 3rd Lord Neville of Raby and Maud de Percy.1
