Henri I "le Libéral," Count Palatine of Troyes, Champagne, & Brie, son of Thibaut IV "le Grand," Chev., Count of Blois, Champagne, and Troyes and Matilda of Carinthia, was born about 1126.1 He died at Troyes, France, 17 March 1181,1 and was buried at the church of Saint-Étienne, Troyes, France.1

Henri married Marie of France, daughter of Louis VII, King of France and Eleanor of Aquitaine, 1164.1
