Floris III, Count of Holland, son of Dirk VI, Count of Holland and Sophie of Salm, was born about 1138.1 He died of pestlence while on crusade at Tyre, Phoenicia, 1 August 1190.1

Floris married Ada of Scotland, daughter of Henry of Scotland, Earl of Northumberland and Ada de Warenne, Countess of Northumberland, 28 August 1162.1
