Esther Ward, daughter of John Ward and Mary Harris, was born probably shortly before her baptism at Middletown, Connecticut, 15 December 1669.1 She died at Middletown, 13 July 1734, "in the 66th y of her age."2

Esther married William Cornwall, son of Samuel Cornwall and Rebecca Bull, at Middletown 22 January 1690/91.3,4
