John Potter, whose ancestry is known, but not traced here, was born probably shortly before his baptism at St. Thomas, Lewes, Sussex, England, 18 February 1609/10.1 He died before 1648, when his widow had her first child by her second husband baptized.2

John married Elizabeth (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), say 1635.2,1
