William Miller, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), died before 4 October 1711, when his will was proved.1

William married Hannah (…), whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here).1

John Miller was one of the founders of Easthampton on Long Island, and William Miller was residing there in 1675 and 1683. He is said to be a weaver, but the source of that appears to be a roster from the Revolution (East Hampton)

Supposedly, William was in Elizabeth by 1687, but in April 1693 when he and his wife Hannah jointly sold several properties to different individuals in one deed, he described himself as "of Easthampton in the County of Suffolk On Long Island within Theire Majesties Province of New York Yeoman."

His annual subscription to Mr. Harriman’s (the local minister) support in 1694, was 30s,— more than the average. He was admitted an Associate of Elizabeth in 1699-1700, and was one of the Memorialists of 1700. He drew No. 62 of the 100—acre lots, at “the Edg or foot of ye mountain,” adjoining Joseph Lyon, at Scotch Plains. It is reported, that when he went to reside on this lot, so far away from the town-plot, “ the parting was rendered very solemn by the expectation, that they should seldom if ever see him again, the difficulty of passing and repassing seemed so great. But to their surprise, as they went to the church on the next Sabbath morning, they found him standing on the steps.”.2,3

William left a will dated 22 September 1711, and proved 4 October 1711, describing himself as of Elizabeth Town, Essex Co., yeoman. He named:
wife Hannah;
children Sarah, wife of Peter Elstone of Woodbridge, Hannah, wife of Daniel Crane, Samuel, Richard, Jonathan, William, and Andrew;
Real and personal estate
Executors sons Samuel, Richard, and William
wits: John Megie, Eliajah Davis, Samuel Whitehead.4
