William Newman, son of Thomas Newman and Mary Moorton, was born at England, about 1610.1 He died at Stamford, Connecticut, before 7 September 1676, when his will was proved.1

William married Elizabeth Bowstreet, likely sister of William Bowstreet and whose ancestry is otherwise unknown, before 1642.1,2
