Abraham Towner, son of Phineas Towner and Eunice (…), was born at Watertown, Connecticut, between 1729 and 1730.1 He died at Danbury, Connecticut, before 11 February 1761, when his widow was appointed administratrix over his estate.1,2

Abraham married Hannah (Anna) Foote, daughter of John Foote and Sarah Prindle, 7 August 1750.1

Abraham lived in New Milford, Connecticut, and later moved to Danbury, Connecticut. He is mentioned in records that remained after the British burned Danbury, as "Abraham of Danbury."

Tradition once said that Abraham died on Lake Champlain during the French War in 1755, but probate records in Danbury show this to be in error. He died in Danbury in 1760 and left only personal property worth 60 pounds which was settled by his widow in February and April 1761.1
