John Otis, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), was born about 1585.1 He died at Weymouth, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts, 31 May 1657.1,2

Before 1610, John married his unknown first wife who died at Hingham, 28 June 1653;1,3 he married (2), as her 2nd husband, Elizabeth Whitman, daughter of Richard Whitman, after 1653.1
