Jonathan Coolidge, son of John Coolidge and Mary Ravens, was born at Watertown, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, 10 March 1645/46.1,2,3 He died at Watertown, in February 1723/24.3

Jonathan married Martha Rice, daughter of Joseph Rice and Martha King, at Watertown, 3 December 1679.4,2,5,3,6

Jonathan left a will dated His will was dated 12 Feb 1723/4 and proved 16 Mar 1723/4. He named sons Jonathan, and John, daughter Martha, and grandchild Martha Spooner. Son Jonathan and daughter Martha were executors. On 10 Mar 1731, Martha appeared as the surviving executor. On 27 Mar 1732 she rendered her account with John, Jonathan's widow, and guardians of his children present in the Probate Court. Her account mentions John Coolidge, Joseph Coolidge, Nathaniel Coolidge, Thomas Coolidge, and Lieut. Richard Coolidge (Middlesex Probate, 5104).7,8
