Thomas Mervyn, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), was born before 1460.1 He died at Ramsey, Essex, England, before 11 April 1504, when his will was proved,2 and was buried at the Church of St Michael the Archangel, Ramsey, Essex, England.2
Thomas was a man of considerable substance. He bequeathed property at Ramsey, at Harwich, and elsewhere in the neighborhood. He may have married more than once, and it is not possible to judge from the terms of his will whether or not his wife Christian (---) was the mother of his children.
His wife survived him, and was co-executrix of his will. The will was dated 23 August 1503 and probated 11 April 1504.2,3
