Richard Ravens, son of William Ravens and Joan Starlyng, was born probably shortly before his baptism at Dedham, Essex, England, 1 April 1562.1 He died at Wattisfield, Suffolk, England, 3 April 1626, and was buried there, 5 April 1626.1

Richard married Elizabeth Hedge, daughter of Nicholas Hedge and Alice Burrough, about 1588.1
