Baldwin II, Count of Flanders and Artois, son of Baldwin I "Iron Arm," Count of Flanders and Judith of France, was born about between 863 and 865.1,2 He died in 918, probably 10 September.1,2 Both he and his wife were buried at the abbey of Saint-Pierre, Ghent, Belgium.2

Baldwin married Alfthryth, daughter of Ælfred "the Great," King of England and Ealhswith, in 884.1,2
