Charles III "the Simple," King of the West Franks, son of Louis II "the Stammerer," King of France and Adelaide, was born 17 September 879.1 He died 7 October 929.1

Charles married (1) Frederuna, whose ancestry is unknown (or not traced here), in 907;1 he married (2) Eadgifu, daughter of Eadweard I "the Elder," King of the West Saxons and Ælfflaed, about 918.2
