Louis IV "d'Outremer," King of France, to Captain Thomas Bradbury
Godfrey, Count of Namur, son of Albert III, Count of Namur and Ida of Saxony, was born between 1067 and 1068.1 He died at Floreffe, France, 19 August 1139, where he was a lay brother in the abbey.2,1

Godfrey married (1) Sibylle, daughter of Roger de Chateau-Porcien, Count and Ermengarde, in 1087;2 he married (2) Ermesinde, daughter of Conrad I, about 1109.1

His first marriage ended in divorce or annullment because of her affair with a neighbor while he was away at war.2
