Nicholas Le Bruyn, son of Roger Le Bruyn and Catherine Leigh, was born about 1340, being of full age at his father's I.P.M., 35 Edward III (1362).1,2 He died before 23 May 1399, when a "writ de diem clausit extremum" was issued in 22 Ric. II.3,2

Nicholas married Elena Praers, daughter of Roger de Praers and Ellen de Huxley, in 1351.4

Through his marriage, Nicholas came into possession of one-quarter of Clotton, one-half of Duddon and other lands.1
